Bad Kissingen in Lower Franconia is the best-known spa town in Germany and was built under the reign of Ludwig I. Seven mineral springs provide for the world's largest “Wandel­halle”, the Maxbrunnen and many more baths. Bad Kissingen is one of eleven cities taking part in the “Great Spas of Europe” initiative.
