Capital Mainz

Rhineland-Palatinate is a federal state in western Germany that borders France, Luxembourg and Belgium. It houses the largest NATO airport in Europe, "Ramstein Air Base". Trier is the oldest city in Germany (more than 2000 years) and there are Romanesque imperial cathedrals in Mainz, Speyer, and Worms.
