Markgröningen is a former imperial town in Baden-Württem­berg that was called Grüningen until the 18th century. It was a crown estate in the Holy Roman Empire and served as an important fief alongside the imperial storm banner. Today, the town is best known for its beautiful half-timbered town hall.
