Rastatt is a small city in Baden at the French border. In 1714 the peace treaty of Rastatt was signed to end the War of the Spanish Succession. The city boasts Rastatt Palace, the Favorite Palace, the Pagodenburg castle and many baroque buildings, which make it a great example of the perfect baroque town.
