Nürtingen is a town in Baden-Württemberg at the Neckar, about 30 kilometres from Stuttgart. In medieval times, the town's palace, which was destroyed in 1750, served as a domicile for the widows of the princes of Württemberg. The philosophers Hölderlin and Schelling both went to school in Nürtingen.
