Straupitz is a municipality in Brandenburg, at the northern edge of the Spreewald. For many years the town belonged to the von Houwald family, who turned it into a flourishing market town. Sights worth seeing are the Dorfkirche (village church) by Karl Friedrich Schinkel and the historic Dutch windmill.
