Königs Wusterhausen is a town in Brandenburg, south of Berlin. In 1682 the town and its castle was acquired by Friedrich Wilhem for his son Friedrich I, whose son, in turn, received it for his tenth birthday in 1698. In 1920, the first radio broadcast in Germany was broadcast from the Funkerberg near the city.
