Venice is a city in the Veneto region in northeastern Italy. The “City of Canals” is built on 118 islands in the Venetian Lagoon. Its many beauti­ful attractions include the St Mark’s Basilica, the Campanile and the Doge’s Palace on the St Mark’s Square, as well as the iconic Rialto Bridge spanning the Grand Canal.
