Haidari is a suburb northwest of Athens in Attica, on the Sacred Way leading to Eleusis. It is known for Daphni Forest and the beautiful Byzantine Daphni Monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The infamous Haidari concentration camp, operated by the German occupation, was located in the city.
