Sassnitz is a small resort on the Jasmund peninsula on Rügen in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. The town is known for its attractive spa architecture from the beginning of the 20th century. Germany’s smallest National Park, “Jasmund”, with the chalk cliff coast and the Königsstuhl, is located in the town area.
